CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY SEAT CHECK UP
Due to
circumstances entirely beyond our control, the planned Child Safety Seat Check-Up
that had been scheduled for tomorrow at the Cascade Mall has been cancelled.
Notification will be provided when this activity is re-scheduled.
Car crashes are the leading cause of death for children from 4 to 8 years of
age. That's why it's so important to make sure that children are properly buckled
up.
This Saturday, the Skagit County Child Passenger Safety Team will be conducting another child safety seat check up, at the Cascade Mall, in Burlington.
It's been estimated that about 85 percent of all child safety seats are not correctly installed. That's why these check ups are so important. Certified child safety seat technicians will be on hand to make sure that seats are installed in a manner that will best protect children in a crash
There is no charge for this service. All that's needed is the vehicle, the car seat and the child. It takes about 20 minutes for each safety seat to be checked out. Hours for the check up are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in an area by the front entrance to the Cascade Mall.
