SKAGIT COUNTY – Skagit County Auditor Norma Brummett recently received the “Auditor of the Year” Award from Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed. The award is presented annually to an auditor in the State of Washington for outstanding service. Brummett is the third recipient of the award. The “Auditor of the Year” awarded was presented to Brummett for her dedication and hard work as co-chair of the 2003 Elections Administrators Conference and for her work representing the Association of County Auditors on the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) Steering Committee, according to Reed. “I admire Norma’s diligence. She is conscientious, easy to work with and has given a great deal to both the county and the state,” said Reed. Brummett has served as Skagit County Auditor since 2000.
