July 8, 2003 SKAGIT COUNTY 2002 COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL AUDIT AVAILABLE ONLINE SKAGIT COUNTY - The Skagit County Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2002 is now available on line, according to Norma Brummett, Skagit County Auditor. This annual report is completed each year by June 30 and is available for public inspection. Copies are available at the Auditor's office and in local libraries. The report can be accessed online at www.skagitcounty.net The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report has four sections containing, among other things, the transmittal letter, the government's organizational chart and a list of principal officials, statements and schedules, a supplementary information section listing grant moneys received from the Federal and State governments, and selected financial and demographic information. The Single Audit Act requires Skagit County to undergo an annual single audit in conformity with the provisions of the Act and the U.S. Office of Management and Budget Circular A-133, Audits of State and Local Governments. The report contains all funds and account groups of Skagit County government. Skagit County provides a full range of services including judicial and record administration, public safety, physical and economic environment, mental and physical health, cultural events and recreational activities, road and street construction and maintenance and infrastructure.
