MEETING SCHEDULED TO DISCUSS SKAGIT COUNTY'S 2007 TO 2012 SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
The Skagit County Public Works Department will conduct a meeting to discuss the preliminary alternatives for the 2007-2012 Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program (2007 to 2012 Six-Year TIP). This meeting is designed to provide an opportunity for thoughts, ideas, and concerns of all interested Skagit County citizens to be included in the formulation and development of this plan. In August, citizens will have an additional opportunity to comment on the plan through the Public Hearing and adoption process by the Board of County Commissioners.
The Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) represents the County's medium range plan for road, bridge, ferry, and related surface water facility projects. Updated yearly, it is one step in the planning process which eventually leads to the Annual Construction Program. As priorities change, projects can go on and come off of the Six-Year TIP.
The schedule for the public meeting is the following:
Date: Wednesday, August
2, 2006
Time: 6:00 pm 7:30 pm
Location: Skagit County Public Works
Skagit Conference Room
1800 Continental Place
Mount Vernon, Washington
Public Works Department projects will be briefly discussed at the meeting. Both written and verbal comments are encouraged. If you have any questions or need additional information, please telephone Ann Marie Gutwein, Programs Manager, Skagit County Public Works Department at 336-9400.
