OUTDOOR BURN RESTRICTIONS WEST OF THE SWINOMISH CHANNEL

The Skagit County Fire Marshal’s Office will impose outdoor burning restrictions west of the Swinomish Channel effective at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2005.

Burning restrictions will be in effect for all of the unincorporated areas of Skagit County west of the Swinomish Channel, including the islands in Skagit County. It is always illegal to burn garbage. During the burn restriction no burning is allowed with the exception of small (2 feet by 2 feet) campfires and cooking fires. These restrictions will remain in effect until further notice. If dry conditions continue, campfires and cooking fires may also be regulated.
