OPENING CEREMONY AND FREE 'TIL THREE ON WEDNESDAY

The Skagit County Fair kicks off with a treat for you. You can visit your fair until 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 for free. Come and see why for the next 4 days the fair is the place to be.

We start the fun at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday with our opening ceremony on main stage. Marcia Kester will sing the national anthem. She will be followed by the color guard, American Legion Post 43 from Sedro-Woolley.

Many elected officials will be in attendance including Congressman Rick Larson. Some fun stories will be shared and the fair will officially begin.

New for 2007 we will feature “The Walk of Art”. This is where people in the community have made posters and created a gallery of art for your enjoyment.

Along with all of the excitement of exhibits, carnival and great food we have added helicopter rides. To sign up for a ride you will need to come to booth 61 in the commercial area and they will set you up for your ride.
