PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

Advisory Committee of the Skagit County Flood Control Zone District

WHAT:
The August meeting of the Advisory Committee of the Skagit County Flood Control Zone District (FCZD) at which the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will present and solicit public comment on the preliminary flood control measures being considered as part of the Skagit County Flood Damage Reduction Study (also known as the Skagit River General Investigation).

Aqua room, Skagit Public Utility District, 1415 Freeway Drive, Mount Vernon, WA

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
All appointed members of the Skagit County Flood Control Zone District’s Advisory and Technical Committees and other interested persons. The public is welcome. Anyone interested in flood management and ecosystem protection and restoration on the Skagit River are encouraged to attend.

PURPOSE:
This is a regular monthly meeting of the FCZD Advisory Committee but the focus of the meeting will be on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer’s Skagit GI measures presentation. Following the presentation there will be an opportunity for the public to ask questions and offer comments to the project managers. Instructions on how to submit follow-up written comments to the U.S. Corps of Engineers will be provided at the meeting.
