WELCOME BABY SCHEDULES PARK POTLUCK AND BOOK DRIVE

SKAGIT COUNTY – The public is invited to join Meredith Baker and the mothers and children of the Welcome Baby program for a Park Potluck and Book Drive at Edgewater Park in Mount Vernon to help stock the new Welcome Baby Magic Bookmobile. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 1, 2004 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. “Please bring a new or slightly used children’s book to donate to the bookmobile,” said Baker.

Fidalgo Joe will be on hand to entertain with cowboy poetry songs and jokes. “There will be plenty of stories to read and songs to sing,” said Baker.

Participants are asked to bring potluck or their own lunch. “And don’t forget the books,” said Baker, who is celebrating her birthday on this date.
