Skagit Conservation District announces workshop on winterizing your livestock property
SKAGIT COUNTY Autumn is a great time to winterize your livestock property. The Skagit Conservation District invites you to come along and join us at a workshop entitled Fall In Place for Winter Winterize your Livestock Property. You will gain some new fresh ideas on preparing your livestock property for winter.
Back by popular demand, Alayne Blickle, Horses for Clean Water, will present this upcoming training. Learn how to beat the mud and become chore efficient at the time of year when all that counts the most! Hear about great tips and techniques for getting a jump on winter. This pre-winter journey will take you through a checklist of things to do to prepare your farm for those dark, cold, blustery, and rainy winter months. Learn ways to make the coming winter chore-efficient, less stressful and healthier for your horses and livestock, you and the environment!
The class is FREE and
is scheduled for Monday, September 30th from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Padilla
Bay Research Reserve, located at 10441 Bay View Edison Road. Pre-register
