Welcome to Skagit County
September 19,
2002 SKAGIT COUNTY - The Skagit County Public Works is holding a public meeting to discuss water levels at Lake McMurray. Skagit County Commissioner Ken Dahstedt and Public Works staff will be present at the meeting. The Skagit County Drainage Utility has been involved in a series of activities related to water level monitoring since fall of 2001. There are several actions that could be taken at this point in regard to beaver dams that could help to avoid continued high water levels during the winter months. The meeting will be held at the Lake Mc Murray Fire Hall starting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2002. Citizen involvement and support will be essential to implementing a successful project to maintain acceptable water levels at the lake, according to Lee First, Skagit County Public Works. The public is invited. For further information,
