95% DRAFT BAYVIEW WATERSHED STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN

The Surface Water Management Section of Skagit County Public Works announces the release of the 95% draft Bayview Watershed Stormwater Management Plan. The Plan analyzes the existing drainage of the Bayview Ridge area and the expected impacts on drainage due to future development of the area, as prescribed in the recently completed Bayview Ridge Subarea Plan. Copies of the Draft Stormwater Plan are available at the Public Works office, located at 1800 Continental Place, Mount Vernon.

Several meetings with interested parties are scheduled to be held in September, culminating in a 'stakeholder' meeting at the newly completed Padilla Bay Foundation facility, located at 10441 Bayview-Edison Road, on Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at 10:00 am. Comments will be taken on the Draft Stormwater Plan until 4:30 PM on Tuesday, October 4, 2005. Following consideration of comments received, a Final Plan is expected to be issued and adopted at a regular public session of the Skagit County Board of Commissioners a few weeks later.
