SKAGIT PARKS FOUNDATION AND STARBUCKS MAKE YOUR MARK PROGRAM CELEBRATE ONE YEAR PARTNERSHIP

SKAGIT COUNTY – The Skagit Parks Foundation and volunteers from the “Make Your Mark” program will celebrate their one-year partnership on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Skagit Playfields. A work party will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by celebration barbecue at 11:30 a.m.

Starbuck employees during the past year have held several work parties helping the Skagit Parks Foundation maintain trails and work on park facilities. An average of 15-20 volunteers has participated in each work party. “We can’t thank the Starbucks people enough for their dedicated service,” said Tawni Helms, with Skagit County Parks and Recreation Department.
