COUNTY SCHEDULES MEETING FOR COMMENT ON FEMA PRE-DISASTER COMPETITIVE GRANT PROGRAM

County to apply for federal funding for residents along Sauk River

SKAGIT COUNTY – The Skagit County Public Works Department will host a public meeting on Monday, September 29, 2003 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Sedro-Woolley Senior Center located at 715 Pacific Street, to provide information and take comment on the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Pre-Disaster Mitigation Competitive Grant Program. Skagit County is applying for federal mitigation grant funds to address, mitigate, or prevent erosion/river migration related damages along the Sauk River.
