COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SIGN RESOLUTION SUPPORTING UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON CAMPUS LOCATION IN NORTHERN SNOHOMISH COUNTY

SKAGIT COUNTY – The Skagit County Board of Commissioners signed a resolution today supporting the location of the proposed University of Washington campus for Northwest Washington in northern Snohomish County.

According to the proclamation, the Commissioners stated that potential students in Skagit, Island and Eastern Snohomish counties need convenient access to a four-year higher education campus through highway and public transportation systems. A northern location will provide the most efficient commute and location for the greatest number of underserved students.
