COMMISSIONERS DECLARE 4-H WEEK IN SKAGIT COUNTY, OCTOBER 6-12 SKAGIT COUNTY – The Board of Skagit County Commissioners declared October 6-12, 2003, 4-H Week in Skagit County. On hand to receive the proclamation were 4-H members (left to right) Nikkita Van Horst, Kyle Lang, Elise Walker, Haley Walker and Sabrina Rush. The Commissioners also recognized Delores Lang, Jean Swift, and Bonita Elfstrom for their combined 100 years of service as 4-H leaders. 4-H is an educational program of Skagit County, Washington State University Cooperative Extension and the United States Department of Agriculture, administered nationally through the land grant university system and at the county level by the Cooperative Extension staff along with local volunteer leaders.
