SKAGITCOUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE AND PUBLIC OUTREACH STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 3, 2004

SKAGIT COUNTY – The Skagit County Comprehensive Plan Update and Public Outreach Steering Committee will meet on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Hearings Room B of the Skagit County Administration Building, 700 South Second Street, Mount Vernon.

The 15-member Steering Committee was appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to advise Skagit County as it fulfills the state-mandated seven-year update of its Growth Management Act (GMA) comprehensive plan and development regulations. This process is to be completed by December 2005 and is referred to as the 2005 GMA Update.

The Steering Committee will also serve to engage members of the community to encourage public participation in the update process, hear issues of local concern, and assist Skagit County in disseminating news and information relating to the 2005 GMA Update.
