PUBLIC MEETING SCHEDULED TO PRESENT DRAFT BIG LAKE DRAINAGE MANAGEMENT PLAN

SKAGIT COUNTY – Skagit County Public Works, with assistance from Anchor Environmental, LLC., will be holding a Public Meeting on November 14, 2007 to present the Draft Big Lake Drainage Management Plan to the community. Public Works staff will seek public comments and suggestions to assist in finalizing the plan.

The primary goal behind the development of the Drainage Management Plan is to effectively manage storm water not only to correct existing drainage deficiencies, but to plan for future storm water system infrastructure that is consistent with the anticipated growth and will reduce flood hazards, improve water quality, and protect critical fish and wildlife habitat.

The meeting will be held at the Big Lake Elementary School Library, (16802 Lake View Blvd; Mount Vernon, WA 98274) from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
