Deadline extended for letters of interest to serve on Skagit County Climate Action and Sustainability Taskforce

SKAGIT COUNTY – The deadline for letters of interest to serve on the Skagit County Climate Action Sustainability Task Force have been extended to 4:30 p.m., November 14, 2008.

Citizens interested in serving on the Climate Action and Sustainability Taskforce are encouraged to apply by submitting a letter of interest stating the applicant’s background, interests, and experience. Letters of interest should be submitted to JoAnne Giesbrecht, Clerk of the Board, Skagit County Commissioners, 1800 Continental Place, Mount Vernon,, Washington 98273.

In conjunction with Skagit County staff, the Taskforce will develop a long-term Climate Action Program by the end of 2009. Taskforce meetings will be open to the public with minutes posted on Skagit County’s website, www.skagitcounty.net.
