Skagit County 2025 Preliminary Budget Available; Public Invited to Attend Upcoming Budget Presentation
The Skagit Board of County Commissioners are currently in the process of drafting the County’s 2025 budget. The preliminary budget will be made available to the public on Monday, November 18, 2024, and will be accessible on the County’s webpage here: www.skagitcounty.net/Departments/BudgetFinance/2025Budget.htm.
The Skagit County Commissioners will host a work session on the preliminary budget on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 1800 Continental Place in Mount Vernon. The presentation will also be televised on TV21 and streamed on Zoom at the link on the Commissioner’s webpage.
The County Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider the budget on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Written public comment will be accepted through the close of the public hearing. Emailed comments may be sent to commissioners@co.skagit.wa.us and mailed letters to 1800 Continental Place, Mount Vernon, WA 98273. The County Commissioners will then discuss and take possible action on the final budget on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 11:30 a.m.
