SKAGIT COUNTY ASSESSOR'S OFFICE WILL BE CONDUCTING INSPECTIONS OF FLOOD DAMAGED PROPERTIES

Appraisers from the Skagit County Assessor’s Office will be conducting inspections of properties which were damaged during the recent flood. Beginning the first week of November, appraisers will be visiting those areas where flood damage was concentrated in order to make adjustments to property valuations based upon damage to structures.

This work is a follow-up to preliminary observations made by volunteers from the Red Cross in conjunction with The Skagit County Department of Emergency Services.

All property owners who have been affected by the flood are encouraged to submit destroyed property forms to the county Assessor’s Office. Destroyed property affidavits are available at the Assessor’s Office in Mount Vernon, at the Up River Service Office and on online at the county website at www.skagitcounty.net
