HEALTH DEPARTMENT OFFERS ASSISTANCE TO FLOOD VICTIMS: FREE DRINKING WATER BACTERIOLOGICAL
TESTING AND TETANUS BOOSTERS THROUGH DECEMBER 15, 2006
SKAGIT COUNTY County residents affected by the recent flood who are on
private wells can have their water tested at the Skagit County Health Department
at no charge through December 15, 2006. Sample bottles can be obtained at the
Skagit County Health Department, 700 South 2nd, Room 301, Mount Vernon, or at
Skagit Countys Upriver services office in Concrete.
In addition, flood victims who have NOT had a tetanus booster shot within the
last five years are eligible for a free tetanus shot through December 15, 2006.
These will be given at the following locations:
Hamilton Community Action Building (next to Hamilton Fire Hall): Tuesday, November
21, 2006 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Upriver services office: Tuesday, November 28, 2006 from 1:00 pm 2:00
pm.
Upriver services office: Wednesday, December 6, 2006 from 2:00 pm 5:00
pm.
Skagit County Health Department, 700 South 2nd, Room 301, Mount Vernon on Monday,
Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 am 4:00 pm.
Flu shots will also be available at a cost of $25.
