SKYWARN WEATHER SPOTTER TRAINING

Location: Skagit County Emergency Operations Center
2911 East College Way, Mount Vernon, WA

Time: 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

The National Weather Service will train new or veteran spotters, including interested citizens, amateur radio, law enforcement, and fire service staff on how to look for and report significant event-driven weather events. Training includes video demonstrations.

WEATHER SPOTTERS ARE NEEDED IN THE RURAL
AREAS AND ESPECIALLY IN EASTERN SKAGIT COUNTY
TO ASSIST IN GATHERING REAL-TIME WEATHER
INFORMATION DURING FLOOD EVENTS

If you are planning to attend this weather spotter training session, please RSVP so an appropriate number of handout materials can be on hand. Thank you for your interest in the Skywarn Weather Spotter Program - we look forward to seeing you at this training and receiving your hazardous weather reports.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-5 exit #227 and drive East on College Way to 2911 East College Way. The building is located approximately ¼ mile East of Skagit Valley College on the North side of College Way.
