FREE FAMILY FUN AT NEW EXHIBIT & OLD TIME TRANSPORTATION FESTIVAL AT HISTORICAL MUSEUM

The opening of a new exhibit, “Moving Washington for a Century: 100 Years in the History of the Washington State Department of Transportation,” will be celebrated with a free reception and an Old Time Transportation Holiday Festival on December 17 from 11 am to 3 pm at the Skagit County Historical Museum. Santa arrives at noon in a 1930 Model A Coupe, and kids of all ages will enjoy a model train in action along with a truckload of family fun activities including building wood cars, trains, planes, fire trucks and much more.

The exhibit will focus on the fascinating stories behind our public highways, bridges, railways, ferries and airports and will be on view through December 31.

The Skagit County Historical Museum is located at 501 S. 4th Street at the top of the hill in LaConner. For more information, please call 360.466.3365
