WASHINGTON STATE TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION, WSDOT HONOR SKAGIT COUNTY COMMISSIONER TED W. ANDERSON

SKAGIT COUNTY – Skagit County Commissioner Ted W. Anderson was recognized today by the Washington State Traffic Safety Commission and the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) for years of dedicated service to traffic safety.

Skagit County Traffic Safety Coordinator Don McKeehen also thanked Anderson for his years of support and active involvement to help save lives in Skagit County.

Dr. Gina Beretta, Program Manager for the Washington State Traffic Safety Commission presented Anderson a plaque recognizing his years of service.

Mathew Enders with WSDOT shared his perspective from a statewide perspective. “Very rarely has anyone from a county commissioner perspective been so involved. Very rare!”

Anderson has been actively involved in three traffic safety corridor projects during his 12-year tenure as a Skagit County Commissioner. He will be leaving office at the end of the year.
