Probation Services
Probation Services is comprised of the following:
Community Supervision
This is the level of probation upon which the majority of youth are placed. Probation Counselors are assigned by geographic regions. This level of probation may involve rehabilitative services such as counseling, treatment, skills training, educational planning, etc. It also may involve accountability terms such as community service work, fines, restitution, confinement, etc.
Special Sex Offender Disposition Alternative Supervision
A limited caseload of youth meeting statutory definitions and requirements qualify for this program. It involves a Court ruling that allows a suspension of the normal sentence to a State Institution, in exchange for being placed on a two (2) year intensive compliance and therapeutic case plan. It is designed to address the causes of the sex offense and to hold the youth accountable.
Chemical Dependency Disposition Alternative Supervision
A limited caseload of youth that meet statutory definitions and requirements qualify for this program. It involves a Court ruling that allows a suspension of the normal sentence to Local Sanctions or a State Institution in exchange for being placed on a one (1) year intensive compliance and therapeutic case plan. It is designed to address the underlying issues of chemical dependency and to hold the youth accountable. |
