Planning and Development Services Adopts DNS for Proposed Permanent Guemes Island Ferry Schedule

Notice is given under SEPA, RCW 43.21C.080, that on November 4, 2008, the Skagit County Planning and Development Services Department adopted the following document: “SEPA Threshold Determination of Non-significance (DNS) For Guemes Island Ferry Service Schedule Changes,” dated May 6, 2008. The proposal for which this document was adopted to satisfy State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) requirements is a non-project action to make the current temporary ferry run schedule for the Guemes Island Ferry permanent, effective January 1, 2009. Additional information is provided in the documents below.

After reviewing public comments on the May 8th Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) regarding Extended Guemes Island Ferry service, Skagit County’s SEPA responsible official has retained that DNS, finding that no new information has been submitted to the record that would undermine the original determination.

Planning Department Issues Threshold Determination on Guemes Ferry Schedule

The Skagit County Planning and Development Services Department issued a Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) on May 6, 2008, regarding proposed permanent expansion of weekday evening ferry runs to Guemes Island.
