Guemes Island Ferry 2025 Haul-Out Dates - March 15-April 29
Nichols Brothers Boat Builders, in Freeland, WA, has been awarded the bid for the Guemes Island Ferry 2025 haul-out. A contract still has to be executed between the shipyard and Skagit County. Therefore, these dates are subject to the successful negotiation of the contract, which should be complete by the end of the year. As of today, December 1, 2024, it is planned that the car ferry will be out of service for 6 weeks between March 15 and April 29, 2025. If this changes, we will update this information. The outage is for the 2025 USCG-required dry dock and maintenance period. The ferry will also get new modern/efficient engines to improve operational reliability.
During this time, passenger-only service will be provided
