Edison
Town Drainage System
During heavy
storm events, runoff had overwhelmed the old drainage system in
the town of Edison, flooding the streets and causing damage to
the community. Phase 1 of this project replaced the old drainage
system with a larger, more effective system. During Phase 2 of
this project a new detention pond will be constructed southwest
of town to further increase the storage volume.

Quaker
Cove
Stormwater runoff
from uphill of this site carries silt and debris to a pedestrian
underpass below Gibralter Road creating unsafe conditions. The
uncontrolled runoff also has eroded a significant portion of the
bluff face above Similk Bay. This project includes installing
a series of catchbasins to intercept the runoff and a pipe network
to transport the stormwater safely to the beach.

Little
Mountain Road
This project
includes installation of surface drains and ditch improvements
to correct drainage and icing problems on Little Mountain Road.
Ditch improvements on Lake Terrace Lane will also help alleviate
washouts that occur downhill toward Big Lake.
