Description

An 18-inch failing wood culvert at the outlet of this stream was perched 12 feet above the Skagit River. This created a total blockage for fish migration into this stream system. The problem was remedied by the installation of a new 190-foot long, six-foot diameter culvert with weirs welded inside. The weirs created a stepped pool and weir fishway that provides access for adult and juvenile salmon and trout.
