• If you wish to see examples of what the Fire Marshal will look for during your inspection, see the Fire & Life Safety Checklist
• You may wish to ensure these items are complete if your business is scheduled for an inspection or if you simply wish to ensure the safety of your building, employees and customers.
• There is no charge when your business is inspected. The Fire Marshal’s Office will work with you to ensure fire and life safety requirements are met.

Plan Review

• Project plan review is performed as part of building, grading and fire permit applications submitted to Skagit County Planning & Development Services.
