COUNTY TO HOLD PRELIMINARY HEARING ON COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENTS
Commissioners will decide whether to forward changes to Planning Commission.

The Skagit County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on March 18th to establish this year’s docket, or list, of proposed changes to the County’s comprehensive plan policies and land-use/zoning map. Once the Board sets the docket of amendments, the County’s Planning & Development Services Department will further evaluate each of the proposed amendments and forward them to the Skagit County Planning Commission for additional public review.

The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in the Board of Commissioners Hearing Room, Skagit County Commissioners Administration Building, 1800 Continental Place, in Mount Vernon.

Information including summaries and docket recommendations on all proposed amendments to the Skagit County Comprehensive Plan and Land-Use/Zoning Map can be found online [here] or may be viewed at the Planning & Development Services Department, 1800 Continental Place, in Mount Vernon, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
