Question: How do I know if there are any liens on my property?

You may either come in and search the records on your own, or you may request us to conduct a search for you.

Question: How do I do a title search?

All records in our office are located by searching our grantor/grantee index. To ensure a title search is done completely and accurately, we suggest you contact a title company.

Question: Can you tell me who owns a piece of property by address or parcel number?

No, the Auditor's Office does not keep that information. Please contact the Assessor's Office for such inquiries.

Question: How do I get the dimensions of my property?

A subdivision plat or survey describes the size of your property. Such surveys are available from our office.

Question: How do I get a copy of my deed?

You can request a copy from our office, either in person or by mail. Copy fees apply.

Question: How do I get a copy of my marriage certificate?

If you applied for your certificate in Skagit County, you can request a copy of the certificate in person or by mailing a request. The fee is $3.00. If you mail a request, be sure to include the names of the bride and groom and the date of the marriage. Click here for more information about marriage licenses.

Question: Where do I get a copy of my divorce papers?

The Skagit County Clerk of the Courts is the keeper of divorce papers.
