Things to know …
- The Official Payments Corporation charges a processing fee of 2.63%, with a minimum fee of $4.15. By law, the Treasurer’s office cannot absorb the merchant fee charges that the card companies charge (RCW 36.29.190). The Official Payments Corporation keeps this processing fee and sends us the tax payment only.
- Each tax parcel must be paid separately through the Official Payments Corporation.
- The Official Payments Corporation will only accept property tax payments on behalf of the Skagit County Treasurer.
- Be sure to verify tax parcel information and amount due before proceeding as this is a third party company and is NOT a branch, office or department of Skagit County Government.
