The Auditor’s Office Licensing Department is open for all types of licensing transactions.
All Skagit County vehicle and vessel licensing offices will be closed on Friday, February 14, 2025 for a state-wide Department of Licensing system upgrade. This includes our offices in Anacortes, Burlington, Mount Vernon, Sedro-Woolley and Concrete, as well as the Auditor’s licensing office in downtown M.V. The following Monday, Feb. 17th is President’s Day (a holiday) and all of the above offices will remain closed. All licensing offices will reopen on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Please plan accordingly for this closure. Thank you.

You can apply for a marriage license two ways:
- Online here. Fill out your application and affidavit forms, print them, have your signatures verified with a Notary, then enclose the forms and a cashier’s check in an envelope.
- Mail the application, affidavit and payment to:
