Training & Exercises |
To increase disaster resilience and response readiness across Skagit County, responders and the community must be prepared for potential emergencies. By participating in training and exercises, we can strengthen emergency preparedness capabilities for the whole community.
If you have a request for DEM to participate/evaluate/observe an exercise or training, please email us at: dem@co.skagit.wa.us |

Exercises
Trainings provide practitioners the requisite knowledge and skills to respond effectively to an emergency. Skagit DEM offers training online and in-house from local, state, and Federal partners. This allows us to prepare our residents, responders, and partners with the skill to respond and recover from disasters |
Exercises enhance knowledge of plans, allow members to improve their own performance, and identify opportunities to improve capabilities to respond to real events. Exercises can be in the form of seminars, workshops, tabletops, drills, functional, or full-scale exercise following the Homeland Security Exercise & Evaluation Program (HSEEP). |
