Skagit County Pictometry Partnership Program
In 2006 Skagit County formed a partnership with local agencies to collaborate and share the expense of purchasing high resolution aerial photography. A contract with Pictometry International LLC. was created and images have been acquired every two years starting in 2007. The next scheduled flight will be in the spring of 2021
Area flown:
Over 600 square miles are flown. All of the flight area is flown at 9” color and areas shown in orange are also flown at 4” color.
Availability:
All of the Pictometry images are available to view online using iMap.
The imagery is a licensed product with restrictions on the raw data specified by the vendor. Imagery is available through a partnership with Skagit County and based on approval by Pictometry.
The images are available through a partnership program coordinated by Skagit County. Costs vary between $5,000 and $8,000 per year with a two year contract.
Data will be copied to a hard drive provided by the partner and data will be in a mosaicked MrSid format along with oblique images and software to display and analyze the data.
