The Skagit County Fairgrounds is looking for Apprentice Superintendents

The Skagit County Fairgrounds is looking for Apprentice Superintendents for the 2008 Skagit County Fair August 6th through August 9th. Apprentice positions will be working with existing Superintendents who, after many years of service, are retiring after the 2008 Fair. Apprentices will take over as Superintendents for the 2009 Fair; positions are currently open for the following classes:
Open Class Home Economics & Food Preservation
Open Class Hobbies & Crafts


The duties of an Apprentice Superintendent are to assist the Superintendent to check in exhibitors and their exhibits, assisting judge(s), work in the display area during Fair hours.
Open Class Home Economics & Food Preservation include the following classes:
Quick Breads, Breads & Rolls, Yeast Breads, Cakes, Candies, Pies, and Cake Decorating, Canned Fruits & Vegetables, Pickled Foods, Best of Soft Spread, James, Jellies, Preserves, Meats & Fish, and Dried Foods

Open Class Hobbies & Crafts include the following classes:

Plastics, Wood, Metal, Leather, Paper, Clay or Ceramics, and Fabric
