Curbside Yard Waste Pickup
If you live in the cities of Anacortes, Burlington, Mount Vernon, or Sedro-Woolley, or in Shelter Bay you can pay to have your yard waste picked up by Waste Management Northwest. Call 360-757-4068 or visit their website at http://wmnorthwest.com.
Commercial Composting
Skagit Soils is a commercial
composting facility that accepts yard waste from the public for a fee. It is
located near the Skagit County Recycling and Transfer facility.

Skagit County Recycling and Transfer Station has a bin for yard waste which is transported to Skagit Soils for composting. Keep your yard waste separated from your garbage and ask the attendant for the yard waste bin location. You will be charged the same rate as you are charged for garbage but you will be pleased knowing that the material is being returned to the earth, not going to the landfill to create problems.

Mount Vernon and Sedro Woolley have yard waste drop off locations for their
