Project Description
This project, located on Garden of Eden Road, will replace the Willard Creek culvert crossing with a fish passable structure. The existing system consists of two 36‐inch diameter corrugated metal pipe culverts that have failed due to corrosion and rust. This has resulted in roadbed erosion that caused a sinkhole to form in the roadway. This sinkhole has been patched by Skagit County Public works by placing a steel plate over the area.
After the replacement of the culvert is complete, this section of road will be repaved, and new guardrail sections will be installed adjacent to the new structure and roadway.
Project Schedule
Currently under design and securing necessary permits.
Construction, summer of 2022.
The Engineer’s estimated construction cost range is between $300K and $500K.
