UPDATES
September 20th: Contractor will begin work on September 20th on Old Hwy 99, south of Jolly Road. A single-lane closure will be in effect. Work is anticipated to continue in area throughout the week.
Project Description
This project will repair and pave portions of Old Highway 99 North between Milepost 2.790 and Milepost 5.256.
Portions of the existing roadway will be removed to a depth of approximately 2-inches and replaced with new asphalt pavement. Also, there are two areas where the roadway that will require roadway excavation in order to correct failing road subgrade.. At the conclusion of the road construction work, newly painted lane lines will be installed and the roadway fully opened to traffic.
Constructing signing, flaggers and traffic control will be in place during the project. Traffic delays are to be expected.
Project Schedule
The construction estimate for this project was $514,811.48
Bids were publicly opened on Monday, July 12, 2021 (2 contractors submitted bids proposals)
Lakeside Industries, Inc. (Anacortes, WA) was the low bidder for the project at $518,680.00 and will be the prime contractor for the project.
