Sanfi Acres Comprehensive Plan Amendment Remand The Comprehensive Map amendment request known as Sanfi Acres (CPA05-14) seeks to redesignate approximately 1,120 acres of Industrial Forest-Natural Resource zoned land to Secondary Forest Natural Resource Land. The area included in the proposal is located south of the Lake Cavanaugh Road, to the east and west of Granstrom Road, to the Skagit/Snohomish county line. The effect to density if the change were approved would be an increase from 30 residential lots currently allowed to 56 residences with the proposed change, or the addition of 26 residential lots.
This request was considered with the Countys 2005 Growth Management Act Update. The request was denied by the Skagit County Board of Commissioners with Ordinance O20070009. The applicant subsequently appealed the Countys denial of the petition to the Western Washington Growth Management Hearings Board in case No. 07-2-0019. The County and the applicant agreed to withdraw the appeal in exchange for a remand of the proposal to the Planning Commission for further consideration, fact finding review and recommendation.
