COMING SOON! For your convience you will soon be able to file a police report online for any of the crimes listed below. You will be provided with a temporary case number once your case is submitted. You may provide the temporary case number to your insurance company, cell phone company, etc. as necessary. To use this service please read through the following criteria carefully:
Criteria for Online Police Reports:
1) The crime or complaint you are reporting must not be in progress and must not require an urgent response by law enforcement. Your incident must be "cold". Otherwise Dial 9-1-1.
2) The crime or complaint you are reporting must have occured in un-incorporated Skagit County, the City of Concrete or the Town of La Conner and must not have occured upon any state highways or interstates. Otherwise please contact the law enforcement agency responsible for the jurisdiction where the incident occured.
3) The crime or complaint you are reporting falls under one or more of the categories listed below.
Information - Provide Law Enforcement with information regarding a crime, drug activity, ongoing suspicsious activity, etc. (This report may be annonymous).
Traffic Problems - Report ongoing traffic violations, speeding, etc.
Malicious Mischief - Report a crime of property damage (graffiti, paintball, lawn damage, etc.).
Vehicle Prowl - Report a cold vehicle prowl.
Lost/Stolen Property - Report lost/stolen property (cell phones, purses, wallets, etc.).
Animal Complaint - Report an ongoing problem with an animal(s).
Illegal Dumping - Report illegal garbage dumping.

False reporting.
(1) A person is guilty of false reporting if with knowledge that the information
reported, conveyed or circulated is false, he initiates or circulates a false
report or warning of an alleged occurrence or impending occurrence of a fire,
explosion, crime, catastrophe, or emergency knowing that such false report is
likely to cause evacuation of a building, place of assembly, or transportation
facility, or to cause public inconvenience or alarm.
(2) False reporting is a gross misdemeanor.

Making a false or misleading statement to a public servant.
A person who knowingly makes a false or misleading material statement to a public servant is guilty of a gross misdemeanor. "Material statement" means a written or oral statement reasonably likely to be relied upon by a public servant in the discharge of his or her official powers or duties.
